Here it is! Our first single from the upcoming 4th full-length album from Dragon Fli Empire, "Mission Statement". "The Daily News Pt. 2" features the legendary Sadat X of Brand Nubian and is a sequel to the original on Sadat's 2005 album "Experience & Education". DJ Cosm is on the beat with assistance from AJV on the keys, while Sadat X and Teekay bring the rhymes.

Also below, you can check out the first single from Teekay's upcoming compilation "PsYYChology", which will have an all-Calgary lineup over his production. The "One of a Kind Remix" is a different take from the original which was on our recent release, the "DFE vs DEF EP".

Finally, we do have a couple shows coming up, Thursday April 11th in Banff at Wild Bill's we'll have another edition of the "Cold Chillin' Party" featuring a DFE set, a DJ Cosm party-rockin' DJ set plus a special opening performance from Calgary prodigy A.Y.E. A couple of days later, we'll be at the Blind Beggar Pub in Calgary for a fresh mixed-genre bill of artists. Check our Shows page for more details!

Next up, to all our friends in Banff... get ready for the invasion of the DFE Cold Chillin' Party, coming on Thursday, April 11th to Wild Bills. After rockin' the house in Fernie, we're excited to bring this format that combines the acclaimed DFE live show with a DJ party featuring Cosm pumping out the dancefloor bangers. Joining us in Banff will be young Calgary phenom, AYE.

DJ Cosm is continuing to spark the Calgary live hip hop scene, evidenced by the ongoing Beat Street Battles West series he has organized with True Rhythm and now with the new Calgary Hip Hop Karaoke night, being held at Commonwealth Bar & Stage. The night is co-hosted, by Cosm, Apeface and Metawon. Be sure to check out the first edition on Monday March 25th.

Finally, lets get to some new music, (and 2013 will be a year where there is tons of new music). First off a brand new collaboration between DFE and Lyon, France emcee Raistlin called "The Heartbeat" that has just been released off of his new EP... peep the track below. After that, you'll see a video of Teekay flowing over a banger from German producer Rice Master Yen called "Gudrun", written, recorded and filmed all during last weekend.

After months of anticipation, it's finally here! The official "Back 2 Rap" video from Time and Space sees DJ Cosm and Cam the Wizzard taking to the streets and laying the law down on some wack fools. Directed by Shaun Moskie.

Teekay has just dropped a 5-track instrumental EP, the TKTV Beat Tape. Each track samples a theme from a classic TV show, including The Cosby Show, WKRP, The Love Boat, Star Trek and Who's The Boss. Check it out below or at teekay.bandcamp.com 

RapFestWest is the inaugural showcase of what will be a series of shows featuring independent western Canadian hip hop artists. The event will take place at the Republik as part of the Stampede After Dark and will feature a variety of Canada’s finest up and comers in the Canadian hip hop world. The diverse array features: Son Real (Vancouver), Dragon Fli Empire (Calgary), Politic Live (Edmonton), MitchMatic (Edmonton) and Tru-Ly (Calgary).
