DFE is excited for two brand new releases coming in early 2020!

The first release will be a 7" vinyl that we've been anticipating for awhile on Ill Adrenaline Records. The A-Side is "Record Store" featuring the legendary J-Live over a bossa-nova influenced beat produced by DJ Cosm & Metawon. The B-Side is "Fli Beat Patrol" produced by French beatmaker Djar One, an upbeat banger where Teekay goes through the history of hip hop beats starting from soul music in the '60s and '70s.

The second release is our new project Banff Avenue, which is an entirely in-house production with Cosm on the beats and Teekay on the rhymes. Check out the video for the lead single, "Banff Avenue" here!

DFE will play Invermere, BC for the first time on Friday, August 2nd for the "Hip Hop Hooray" party which will also feature up-and-coming emcee Lazi plus DJ Cosm & DJ Najee V on the wheels of steel spinning hip hop classics!

Tarik Robinson (aka Teekay) of DFE has just released his new project, the free "Unión Latinoamericana Beat Tape". Inspired by his travels to Chile in recent years, relax to some smooth, latin-influenced boom bap instrumentals!

Calgary vets Jay Ross and Teekay have linked up for a new collaborative 6-song EP entitled "STR8 6 SHOOTA", now available via the Infinite Elements label. Half of the songs were produced by each artist, and DJ Cosm provides cuts on three tracks. Now available on all streaming/download platforms, including Spotify!

On Friday, August 31st, DFE will be kicking off the Labour Day long weekend in Salmon Arm, BC with a special show at the Marionette Winery. The "Marionette Summer Jam" will also feature breakdancers, street food, DJs and more.
